Can you trump that…?

Most of the political cartoons I’ve posted here from time to time have been from the usual suspects. You know… the major US cartoonists that everyone’s familiar with.

I wonder if it might be instructive to see how other people, from around the world, are viewing the current electorial climate here in the good ol’ US of A…

We’ve got a couple of cartoons here from New Zealand…

But they don’t really seem to be very different in tone from the home-grown versions.

I wonder…
Is it possible to find to find cartoons from papers that might be pro-Trump?

Please stand by…

Well…
It just might be possible…
But it’s kinda difficult to tell.
‘Cause they mostly seem to be in the vein of ‘damning with faint praise’.
Or not so much pro-Trump, as anti-Everyone Else.
And even they seem to be few and far between…

But here’s one I found by doing a Google search…
It’s from a blog site affiliated with the “Humor in America Project”, based at UT-Austin.
I couldn’t find the actual page with the image.

As far as actually pro-Trump… yeah, not so much…
Unless Google is tailoring my search results, because it’s a huge fan of my own blog.
And it knows my personal predilections along these lines…

What there does seem to be is an awfully large number of images equating Trump with a rather heinous period in our collective history from the last century.

You know…
Bad mustaches… and a predominately brown wardrobe…

That sort of thing…

But these cartoons are all just the opinions of people who get paid to mock those in power.
Who are expected to point out all the amusing little peccadilloes and personality quirks of the rich and shameless…
What does the man himself say?
Let’s just take a quick gander at some of his answers to questions put to him by reporters here:

What really scares me is his ignorance on policy… and on basic human interaction.
He has no clue on the concept of compromise.
And on how the rest of us have to try to get along with each other; because we can’t afford to just buy our way out of difficulty.
Or sue for bankruptcy…
Or fire the latest round of apprentices we’ve managed to convince to come work for us.

The man truly does live in a fantasy world… a world of his own devising.
The level of narcissism is frankly mind-boggling…

And if he becomes President…
God help all of us on this planet.
Not just those of us who will share the guilt for allowing it to happen in the first place.

Get out… while you still can…

Or better yet… do something to prevent it from happening in the first place!
