Oh, my, we got some kind of creeping crawling crud happening in my system these last few days.
I’ll spare you the rather disgusting details.
I wish I could spare me the details.
But yesterday was the 75th (if memory serves) birthday of Chick Corea, a musician I have found memories of. With three separate incarnations, that I know of, he just keeps on ticking. First there was Chick and Return to Forever, then there was the Elektric Band, and the third iteration escapes me right now, because I’m not up to snuff, as that fine old phrase goes…
Ah, right… the Vigil.
Good old Google.
Anywho, Chick once (quite recently) said:
It’s a pity the ‘title frame’ for the video isn’t actually of Chick himself.
For those of you who may not know, Chick is the keyboardist… or as I like like to call them, the ‘piano picker’.
This from only a few months ago.
The guy is 74!!!
And playing like he’s in his prime.
And today is the birthday of Dorothy Sayers, another creative person for whom I have fond memories of their output.
Not much in the way of stamina going on at ol’ Uncle Theory’s house right now, so I’ll just relate the usual stuff…
There’s nothing you can’t prove if your outlook is only sufficiently limited.
Very dangerous things, theories.
As I grow older and older, And totter toward the tomb, I find that I care less and less, Who goes to bed with whom.
Trouble shared is trouble halved.
A continual atmosphere of hectic passion is very trying if you haven’t got any of your own.
Happy birthday Chick and Dorothy…

I think I’ve read more of Dorothy Sayers’ theological works than her fiction. I especially like her piece on the seven deadly sins.
Hope you will soon be up to—and even better than—snuff!

Thank you so much for your kind wishes….
As for Ms. Sayers’ work, I’m especially fond of her “Mind of the Maker” myself…
