So…
Not at the computer today…
The first of many long, long days to come.
And I’m trying to do this from the phone.
Not sure how it’s gonna turn out, quite honestly.
But couldn’t let today go by unremarked.
It’s the traditional day we celebrate the birth of William Shakespeare…
We don’t really know when he was born, but he was baptized on April 26, and tradition held that you dunked ’em after the third day.
So…
Happy Birthday, William…
It’s also Miriam’s birthday… but she’s not world-famous yet…
Give her time!
I had wanted to post a pic of Willie the Shake, but that appears to be beyond me at the moment…
Happy Birthday, Wm.
And I had no idea Merriam was a girl. 😉
Have the loveliest of days/evenings…

Um… my friend Merrimack is most definitely a girl…
I think…
Haven’t really asked for empirical evidence, one way or the other…
Bestest of days to you, as well…

Well…
That, and the fact I’ve misspelled her f#%€in’ name every time…
But that’s okay.
Miriam doesn’t even read this blog…
☹️

Hah! No, she wouldn’t be reading blogs, would she? She supplies the tools for us, though. 🙂

She is not so much the tools, as the hardware…
The nail of audacious talent , which we then drive into the board of appreciation, with the hammer of discernment.
She is the wind beneath our sails and the water over which we are thus sped.
She is the first gentle day in Spring, and the promise of so many more days to come…
She is, incidentally, a bitter nasty day in the middle of February, with a drizzle being driven into your face by a 360º head wind and a recalcitrant case of the sniffles…
Do not try these metaphors at home, people…
I’m a professional!!!
