Lots of irony to be had…

So…

Earlier today the top two stories on Apple’s news feed went a little something like this…

Story number one, from the NBC News feed:
Trump’s State of the Union theme: ‘A safe, strong and proud America’

Right next to it on the page was this from BuzzFeed News:
Thousands of people were supposed to regain power in Puerto Rico on Saturday. They didn’t

I’ll just let that one sink in a bit while we look at a picture from the recent past…

Let’s just say that the weathers been a tad unsettled these last few weeks, or so.
From the negatives, all the way up to the low fifty’s…

Needless to say, we’ve had a hard time adjusting… and so has the Long Island Sound…
Fog rolled in the other day, and just kind of sat there…
That’s the sun up there, folks… not the moon.

Now take the top picture, where you can see “pert near” forever, and then look at the same view where you can maybe see fifty feet, or so…

Well, it was kinda cool, is all I’m saying…

Unlike the person whose job it is to lead our nation, and who, it would appear, is about to treat the SoU speech as just one more whistle-stop on his #Me, First tour…
The Constitution mandates a State of the Union speech before both houses of Congress, but I was always under the impression that this meant for the President to tell Congress where we ARE, not where the President want’s us to be…

Maybe I’m just a little fed up with calling anything you don’t like #fake news

One things for sure…
The people of Puerto Rico won’t be watching the speech on television…
The people of Puerto Rico, who happen to be United States citizens, don’t have the electricity to spare… or any, it would seem…

Trump hasn’t even mentioned them since November, when he was all a-gush about how well the recovery was progressing..

September.

That’s when the hurricane hit, and when these people last had basic services….

Do you think it would have taken this long if the people affected were in Alabama? Or Texas?

Or white…?

I’m so tired of this President saying he’s not a racist, when everything he does is racism personified… and has been, from the first he entered public life way back when…

Not having to admit guilt in a case charging discrimination in housing practices doesn’t mean you’re not guilty… the fact a fine was levied is proof that you’re guilty.
Not guilty means not having to pay one red farthing…

If you want to read up on it, go to the following…

https://www.npr.org/2016/09/29/495955920/donald-trump-plagued-by-decades-old-housing-discrimination-case

Some of you may say this is old news.
Some of you may say “… let it go… move on…”

I’ll tell you what.
I’ll let it go, when he can demonstrate that he’s moved on, and isn’t repeating the same old mistakes, over and over again…

The least racist person there’s ever been…?

Please…
