Selective colorization…

It’s been several weeks since I posted.
Work reared its ugly head for a bit… and its head is, as usual, a somewhat grotesque, all-consuming,  at times lucky to get four hours of sleep before I have to get back up and start it all over again kind of staggeringly ugly sort of visage…

No time to even check my email with any kind of regularity… much less post something…

What did I miss…?

Let’s see…
A nothing-burger Republican memo built up as earth-shattering, game-changing and acne-curing, destined to be the end-all, be-all definitive voice on… whatever it purported to be talking about… while a Democratic rebuttal is denied the same treatment…
A President who is continually dogged by accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior, infidelity toward all current and former Mrs’s Trumps, and an inability to get over and beyond the staggeringly massive mound of garbage that is his own ego…
That same President who, bewilderingly, still insists there was no Russian interference with our last election, even as 13 Russians have been indicted for doing that very same thing, and who can’t seem to wrap his head around the whole thing, even though everyone else is ready to wrap Trumps head around it for him… or any available pole in the vicinity…
That same President who can’t seem to find it within himself to condemn yet ANOTHER mass shooting… at least, not one that he can’t exploit to his own political advantage…

That’s it…?
Business as usual…?
(And if that sentence doesn’t terrify you, or make you weep yourself to sleep at night, then I weep for you…)
Business as usual, it is…

Moving on…

I sometimes like to take a photo and play a little with it… trying to figure out why I took the ding-dang thing in the first place…

In the instance of the above photo, it wasn’t until I tried selective tinting that the reason became clear…
It was the juxtaposition of a green vase against an otherwise rather dismal setting, when seen from afar off, that was the impetus of the photo… sort of the reason for the freezin’, if you will…

But if you pay attention, sometimes nature will provide the selective tinting for you…

Yay, nature…!!!

Rah…!

    • I didn’t transition to the butterflies…
I just paid attention to the good timing/God/cosmic flip of the coin/anthropomorphized force (Nature) that did…
After all, I’m sure Nature appreciates it when we notice her efforts along those lines…
