Happy Earth Day…

  … if that is indeed the right concept to go with here. Earth Day was created to celebrate our home, and to focus attention on the need to try and conserve our precious natural resources. Kind of a tough sell, to a society predicated upon a never-ending consumerism. Somewhere, someone’s dichotomy is showing…   Image found here.    

A quick note…

One of the problems with this time of year, is that the light is going away, bit by bit. Just as life seems to get ridiculously busy about now. This is a time when we could use more light, but we get less. I wonder if the seemingly backwards-ness of it all is a throw back to an agrarian ancestry we may no longer practice, but perhaps still feel in our bones. But it’s Labor day here in the states, which oddly enough we celebrate by doing no labor at all. Or most of us do. There are those, like moi, who always seem to get really busy on holidays, just as others are cooling their jets for a bit… which never has seemed especially fair. But I do not complain; I merely observe. Work on holidays is infinitely preferable to no work at all. Capisce?

Apparently, there’s a web site out there called Ashley Madison. As I understand it, it’s the number one site on the internet for finding discreet partners with whom to have an adulterous tryst. Not being now, nor having ever been married, I’m obviously not in their prime demographic. I assume…
