Night refraction…

  I found a new place to shoot the stars… It’s two degrees darker on the darksky.org site than any other place close to me Unfortunately, it’s also twice as far away as my usual area… And the night I decided to check it out, the was a 50% moon out. You may remember the 18% moon out during the shoot of the farming sheds. And how there was a more or less visible shadow of yours truly… How moly was there a visible shadow out this night. And only a 50% moon…

Well… I mean… what can I say…?

  The post before this one was a shot taken from within the Grand Tetons National Park, out in the wilds of the high Wyoming desert… More like dessert, to me… At least, it seemed that way while I was out there… The above gif, on the other hand, was taken in my backyard the other night. It was the most clear and dark I’ve seen this neck of the woods, in the 30 or so years I’ve been living here…
